With the support of Rural Development Department, Govt. of Orissa, G.S.K.S. has constructed low cost latrines for the tribal and conducted health checkup camps, user’s meeting and distributed anti-worm drugs. During 1998-1999, 35 latrines were constructed by G.S.K.S. in Gumma Block. but in 1999-2000, 216 nos. of low cost latrines were constructed in five blocks (Gosani, Kasinagar, Rayagada, Nuagada ) during 2001-2002 80 Nos of latrine were constructed in R.Udayagiri Block of Gajapati district.

G.S.K.S. has organised awareness camps, training programmes under National Environment Awareness Campaign by the support of Ministry of Forest and Environment, New Delhi through the Department of state Forest and Environment to create mass awareness on environmental protection and preservation. In the year 2000-2001 they have published a book on “SANTULANA”
